With seamless rapport, they promise to transport audiences back to the relaxed and convivial musical salons of Mozart’s era.
The concert opens with a piano four-hands piece showcasing the intimate synergy between the two pianists, followed by a lively dialogue between violin and piano. Founded in 2012 by professor Helmuth Rilling and music director Patrick Chiu, SingFest has launched a series of choral-related education programs for professional musicians, school teachers, university and secondary students, as well as music enthusiasts, all under the guidance of world-class maestros. Combining physical movement, theatrical elements, and contemporary insights, SingFest presents performances that breathe new life into classical choral music.
For this concert, the ensemble will present solos, small ensembles, and full choir performances of classic excerpts, including the “Sonata in D Major,” “An Chloe,” as well as beloved arias from “The Magic Flute,” “The Marriage of Figaro,” “Don Giovanni,” and “Idomeneo.”
