“Sleeping Beauty” represents a pinnacle of classical ballet. It is the result of a legendary collaboration between Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreographer Marius Petipa. With its graceful choreography, poetic score, magnificent costumes, and dramatic dance sequences, the ballet is widely regarded as the “peak of classical ballet” and has earned the title “King of the Waltzes.” For more than 130 years, it has remained an enduring favorite on stages around the world.

The story is a romantic fairy tale of light triumphing over darkness, goodness over evil, and love over death. The plot is rich with dramatic twists and enchanting fantasy, making it as captivating for children as it is for adults.

Based on the classic Grimm brothers’ fairy tale, “Snow White” unfolds with the seven dwarfs, forest animals, and the romantic tale of the princess and her prince.

More than just a theater experience, the ballet preserves the innocence and warmth of the original tale while reinterpreting it through the elegant language of dance. Each dwarf displays a unique dance personality; forest animals leap with nimble joy; and the romantic pas de deux between the princess and the prince creates a stage picture full of childlike delight.
The Moscow Children’s Ballet was founded in 2000 by Misl Elizabeth, a distinguished Russian ballet dancer and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Over more than two decades, the company has developed a remarkably high level of professionalism.
