Iranian-born conductor Alexander Rahbari will lead the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra on Thursday to perform Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5” and Dvo?ák’s “Cello Concerto in B Minor” with German cellist Niklas Eppinger as soloist. Chinese musician Zhang Weiliang, a flute, xiao and xun artist, will present an evening of Chinese folk tunes Saturday. On Sunday, Russian violinist Vadim Repin will collaborate with pianist Svetlana Smolina to play pieces by Debussy, Grieg and Franck.
