梅林街道成立于1983年，位于福田區(qū)北部，為深圳市、福田區(qū)“十四五”規(guī)劃“深圳智谷”核心區(qū)域，現(xiàn)行政區(qū)劃下轄新閣、翰嶺、孖嶺、梅都、梅亭、上梅、新興、梅豐、龍尾、梅河、梅林一村、下梅、梅京13個(gè)社區(qū)和上、下梅林2個(gè)集體股份公司，共有住宅小區(qū)109個(gè)、城中村小區(qū)7個(gè)，常住人口約21.67萬(wàn)人，戶籍人口10.40萬(wàn)人。

　　一、區(qū)位優(yōu)勢(shì)

　　梅林街道位于深圳中心城區(qū)福田區(qū)北端、地處城市中軸，北接龍華，東鄰羅湖、西連南山，四區(qū)交匯（福田區(qū)、羅湖區(qū)、南山區(qū)、龍華區(qū)），三山環(huán)抱（塘朗山、梅林山、銀湖山），三水輝映（梅林水庫(kù)、蓮塘尾水庫(kù)、禾鐮坑水庫(kù)），轄區(qū)面積21.18平方公里，占福田27%，其中山林面積9.67平方公里，約占全區(qū)3/4，是福水之源、中心城區(qū)制高點(diǎn)，素有半城山水、福田后花園美譽(yù)。

　　二、發(fā)展定位

　　梅林片區(qū)早期發(fā)展定位為制造業(yè)基地，是福田區(qū)為數(shù)不多的工業(yè)廠房集中區(qū)域，“十四五”期間，被市、區(qū)規(guī)劃定位為“深圳智谷”，重點(diǎn)發(fā)展智能終端、人工智能、金融科技、生活消費(fèi)等相關(guān)產(chǎn)業(yè)。“十五五”時(shí)期，將緊緊圍繞“城央梅林，中軸智谷”總體定位，依托中軸區(qū)位優(yōu)勢(shì)，深度融合智慧創(chuàng)新、山水生態(tài)、文化底蘊(yùn)等資源要素，塑造引領(lǐng)未來(lái)的現(xiàn)代化街區(qū)樣板，為福田加快建設(shè)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化典范城區(qū)和中國(guó)式現(xiàn)代化典范城區(qū)提供堅(jiān)實(shí)支撐和街區(qū)范例。

　　Established in 1983, Meilin Subdistrict is located in the northern part of Futian District. It forms the core area of the “Shenzhen Smart Valley” designated under the 14th Five-Year Plan of both the Shenzhen Municipal Government and the Futian District Government. The subdistrict currently administers 13 communities---Xinge, Hanling, Ziling, Meidu, Meiting, Shangmei, Xinxing, Meifeng, Longwei, Meihe, Meilin Yicun, Xiamei, and Meijing---as well as two collective shareholding companies, Shangmeilin and Xiameilin. Within its jurisdiction are 109 residential estates and 7 urban village communities. The subdistrict has a permanent resident population of approximately 216,700, including a registered household population of approximately 104,000.

　　I. Geographical Advantages

　　Meilin Subdistrict is located at the northern end of Futian District, the central urban area of Shenzhen, and lies along the city’s central axis. It borders Longhua District to the north, Luohu District to the east, and Nanshan District to the west, serving as a convergence point of four districts---Futian, Luohu, Nanshan, and Longhua. Surrounded by three mountains---Tanglang Mountain, Meilin Mountain, and Yinhu Mountain---and complemented by three reservoirs---Meilin Reservoir, Liantangwei Reservoir, and Helienkeng Reservoir---the subdistrict covers a total area of 21.18 square kilometers, accounting for approximately 27% of Futian District’s total area. Of this, 9.67 square kilometers are covered by mountainous forests, representing nearly three-quarters of the district’s total forest area. As the source area of the Futian water system and the highest point in the central urban area, Meilin Subdistrict is widely known as the “Garden of Futian” for its unique landscape featuring mountains and waters integrated with the city.

　　II. Development Positioning

　　In its early stage of development, the Meilin area was positioned as a manufacturing hub and became one of the few areas in Futian District with a concentration of industrial plants. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, it was designated by both the municipal and district governments as the “Shenzhen Smart Valley,” with a focus on developing industries including smart terminals, artificial intelligence, financial technology, and consumer services. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Meilin Subdistrict will remain firmly committed to the overall positioning of “Central Meilin, Smart Valley on the Urban Axis.” Leveraging its strategic location along Shenzhen’s central axis, the subdistrict will further integrate resources and strengths in smart innovation, ecological landscapes, and cultural heritage to create a model of a future-oriented modern urban neighborhood. It will provide solid support and serve as a replicable neighborhood model for Futian District’s efforts to accelerate the development of a model district for socialist modernization and a model district for Chinese-style modernization.
